Couples planning marriage must notify the parish at least ONE YEAR in advance to reserve a date and complete the necessary information. Marriage Preparation classes and completion of the F.O.C.C.U.S Program are required. At least one party must be a registered member of this parish.

Meeting with Priest or Deacon
A priest or deacon will assist you in the marriage process. Depending on your situation various documentation will be completed for your marriage in a Catholic Church. He will assist you in planning your wedding sacrament.

Marriage Preparation Classes
The following marriage preparation classes are required to be completed typically 6 months before the wedding date:

• PreCana Session: A group session that helps couples discuss important issues in their upcoming married life. Session dates can be found on the Metuchen Diocese website under Family Life.
• God's Plan for a Joy Filled Marriage: A program offered by the Diocese to help engaged couples to understand and embrace a Catholic vision of married love. Session dates can be found on the Metuchen Diocese website under Family Life.

F.O.C.C.U.S Program
(Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding and Study) F.O.C.C.U.S. is a premarital inventory that provides a personalized profile of a engaged couples relationship. The FOCCUS pre-marital inventory must be completed as part of marriage preparation and is arranged through the parish office.
