A variety of Bible Study opportunites are being provided to the members of our parish based on the "Great Adventure" Bible Study Program offered by Ascension Press.  The program consists of a series of Bible study courses that build on an understanding of the story of salvation history as presented in the initial Bible timeline course.

Introductory Bible Timeline courses:

• Great Adventure Bible Timeline - a 24-week DVD course taught by Jeff Cavins that guides the student's reading of the Bible through the 14 narrative books of the Bible that uncover salvation history.
• Quick Journey Bible Timeline - an 9-week DVD course taught by Jeff Cavins that reveals salvation history of the Bible.  Designed to wet the appetite to learn more about the Bible.
• Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible - an 8-week DVD course taught by Jeff Cavins that "Unlocks the Mystery" of the bible that reveals Gods plan of salvation through Jesus.  Designed to wet the appetite to learn more about the Bible. (Updated version of the Quick Journey Bible Timeline)

 

Follow-on Bible Study courses:

Several follow-on courses will be provided that require that a Bible Timeline course has been completed:

• Adventures in Matthew - a 20 week Journey through the Gospel of Matthew showing Jesus as the fulfillment of the Old Testament.
• Adventures in Acts - a 20 week journey through the Acts of the Apostles
• Adventures in Revelation - an 11 week journey though the mysterious Book of Revelation - The Kingdom Yet to Come
• Adventures in Exodus - a multi-week journey through the Book of Exodus
• Others....

Other Bible Study Programs:

• A Walk through the Gospels - An 8-week exploration of the Gospels.   In this study, you will learn why we believe that Jesus is the one promised by God throughout the ages. At each Mass we hear the Gospel proclaimed but don’t see it come alive as told by the authors to their specific audience. 
• A Biblical Walk through the Mass - A 5-week exploration of the biblical roots of the words and gestures we experience in Mass to lead us to a richer, more fruitful worship experience. This is an excellent video course from Ascension Press with Dr. Ted Sri as the instructor
• Mary: A Biblical Walk with the Blessed Mother - A 6-week exploration of the biblical references to the Blessed Mother.  An extraordinary pilgrimage with Dr. Ted Sri that reveals Mary's unique role in God's Kingdom and in our lives.
